I bought a new computer - personal computer I mean. Unfortunately my budget did not admit neither powerful processor Intel P4 no LCD. Anyway I think that I got a very graceful thing!
| CPU: | Intel Celeron D 320, 2.4 GHz, 533 MHz on system bus |
| Motherboard: | ASUS P4P800-VM based on Intel i865G chipset |
| RAM: | One DIMM 256 MB DDR400, it works with my Celeron D on 333 MHz, it is determined by CPU-Z as Hynix HYMD232 646B8R-D43 |
| Hard disk 1: | WD400BB - 40 GB IDE 7200 rpm with 2 MB buffer, it is formatted to one piece under NTFS. |
| Hard disk 2: | WD1600JB - 160 GB IDE 7200 rpm with 8 MB buffer, it is formatted to one piece under NTFS with the 149 "real GBs". |
| Compact disk drive: | TEAC DW-548D - it is too noisy when works at high speed, but it is very good thing for the rest... |
| Display: | 17 inches CRT Samsung SyncMaster 757DFX |
Also I have a Genius keyboard with unbelievable comfortable button "Sleep", which I permanently use, and optical mouse from unknown manufacturer - with tail, without any radio - it does not want to work on the glass of work table therefore it was settled on an old copy-book...
October, 2006
Today my hardware configuration is:
| CPU: | Intel Celeron D 320, 2.4 GHz, 533 MHz on system bus |
| Motherboard: | ASUS P4P800-VM based on Intel i865G chipset |
| RAM: | Two DIMM 512 MB DDR400, they work with my Celeron D in Dual Channel on 333 MHz, both are determined by CPU-Z as Hynix HYMD664 646CP8JD43 |
| 3DVideo (new): | Sapphire ATI RADEON 9550 - I can play the DOOM III with this card - yeah! |
| Hard disk 1: | WD400BB - 40 GB IDE 7200 rpm with 2 MB buffer, it is formatted to one piece under NTFS. |
| Hard disk 2 (new): | WD3200JS - 320 GB SATAII 7200 rpm with 8 MB buffer, it is formatted to one piece under NTFS with the 298 "real GBs", it works with my internal motherboard SATA controller in SATA mode (I put the jumper on this HDD to "SATA 150 only" mode) - this one replaced my old WD1600JB. |
| Hard disk (sold): | WD1600JB - 160 GB IDE 7200 rpm with 8 MB buffer - now it is unformatted and unmounted from the system case. April 2007: it was sold. |
| DVD-RW drive: | BENQ DW1640 |
| CD-RW drive: | TEAC DW-548D - it is too noisy when works at high speed, but it is very good thing for the rest... |
| Display: | 17 inches CRT Samsung SyncMaster 757DFX - 2 years old and some huge and weight but works very good and very stable on 1280x1024 85Hz mode. Yeah, I want a new LCD panel with 20 inches wide 1680x1050 screen but I have not money for that one yet... |
My Genius keyboard is still working but my first optical mouse "from unknown manufacturer" death in first few month and I bought a simle "ball" mouse and it is working at this moment and worked throught more then year before - and it does not requere any "especial" surface!
